Spectacular Symposium Opening Concert "Songs of Australia" in the famous Sydney Opera House.

Conductors' Singers', Composers' and Educators' Symposium Strands.
Delegates can choose any session from any strand.

26 invited choirs from around the world will participate in more than
40 Symposium concerts.

Two plenary session for all delegates on subjects of intense intrest to all singers, conductors, cpmposers and choral educators.

World-renowned conductor - John Nelson conducting Berlioz Requiem with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and 300-voice choir in the Sydney Opera House.

Final Symposium Concert featuring the magnificent Choir of St John's College, Cambridge in the Sydney Town Hall with its world-acclaimed grand organ.

Australian Chamber Orchestra with the Danish Radio Choir performing contemporary Scandinavian music in evening Sydney Opera House concert.

Premier of newly-commissioned choral work by Australian composer.

All concerts will be recorded. Some will be broadcast live in Australia, and we are negotiating for televisingspesial concerts.

Special Choral Music Educators' symposium sessions geared to youth and school choirs and their conductors.

Daily reheasals for symposium delegates culminating with a concert performance of a masses Sydney Sympsium Choir at the Sydney Town Hall on the last day of the event. American conductor Andre J Thomas will be directing.

Daily conductors' master-classes with Frieder Bernius, Director of Kammerchoir Stutthart and other well-known choral conductors.

Discussions and demonstrations on new choral trends and works from around the world.

Daily reading sessions of new music from various publishers.

There will be an international Music Expo held in conjunction with the Symposium, with exhibitors from Europe, North and South America, Asia, Australia and other parts of the world. Entry to the Expo is free for symposium delegates.

  The choir OMP is gaining a reputation for its performance of theatrical choral pieces - a new feature of Japanese choral music. They are diverse in style - some reminiscent of choral opera, others more avant garde.
  

  Fumiaki Kuiyama is renowned for his performance of contemporary Japanese works. He has been a featured guest at many international choral conventions.
